Overall we found Downtown Vancouver easy to explore by foot. I particularly liked the juxtaposition of the older colonial buildings with the ultra-modern tower blocks. Canada Place Wharf, where all the big cruise ships depart from, was just down the road from our hotel (at the end of our trip), the Auberge, but we also had pretty little squares and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Ooh lovely! Sitting in hotel lounge in Leeds waiting for James. Doing the Christmas lantern parade at Roundhay Park this afternoon then home to the Algarve tomorrow eve. Homeless in the UK and coping well 😃🎄💕

Good to hear from you Jo! Have not had much time lately for blogging myself – trying to get ahead for Christmas amongst other things as we will have several visitors. Glad you are settling into the Algarve it must feel a bit strange being back in the UK as a visitor! The Christmas lantern parade sounds lovely. Hope you have a great time seeing your son and safe travels back to Portugal xx 😃
