Courtesy of Monsieur this week – some photos he took on a beautifully clear, crisp winter’s morning walk with Winston Le Schnoodle from our local vantage point, “Top of the World”. If you look closely you can spot the kookaburra in the tree. It seemed appropriate to share them today on the midwinter solstice, our shortest day and longest night here Down Under.

Thank you – these were taken by Monsieur I normally walk a bit later than sunrise! We’ve had some lovely crisp clear weather recently and it’s so clear you can see a long way from the top of the hill π

What a spectacular start to the day! π π That opening shot is so unusual. I watched the sunset on Midsummer’s Eve online with Stonehenge. Not a spectacular one but it was peaceful! π Seriously hot the past day or two but starting to settle a bit… I hope! Take care!

Yes Monsieur really captured the sunrise well Jo! What a good idea to post the sunset at Stonehenge online – of course no usual festivities this year. Hope you’re coping with the heat – plenty of cool drinks in the shade! Have a good rest of the week and take care π π

Thanks! It’s still not been really cold yet apart from a few nights – we are lucky being in Perth but July is usually the coldest month. We have plenty of wood for our wood burner, which we love π
