Le Chic En Rose

Diaries of an independent traveller

Here is a little pictorial roundup of the last few weeks out and about in Perth – not sure where this year has gone, it’s hard to believe we will soon be in 2020!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and very best wishes for the New Year!

How lovely. Enjoy your Christmas Rosemary and all the best for 2020. I hope Perth isn’t suffering from the bush fires and drought situation that are hitting Eastern Australia.

    1. Thank you so much Jude – wishing you and your family a happy Christmas and very best wishes for 2020. We have had some hot spells in Perth especially in November and early December where we had several days nudging 40 (we are so lucky to live near the coast as it is a little cooler here compared with the centre of town and inland). Fortunately it has been far cooler this past couple of weeks πŸ™‚ There have been some bush fires especially to the north near Yanchep but nowhere near as severe as the Eastern states and South Australia. The situation there has been dreadful – so sorry for what they must be going through. The air quality has been terrible too even in places like Sydney – it is a real concern and it is only early in the summer season. Hoping for more positive things in 2020!

  3. Merry Christmas to you as well and hope you have another great year of travel planned for 2020; we certainly do!

I hope the current fires from the East won’t make it to Perth. The situation seems pretty bad around Sydney. (Suzanne)

    1. Thanks Suzanne – wishing you and Pierre a very happy Christmas too! Look forward to reading about your adventures next year! We have some tentative plans for 2020 yet to be firmed up! Perth has been relatively unscathed in comparison with the East though we have had some very hot spells and a number of bush fires especially to the north of Perth – nothing on the scale of the problems over East and South Australia. Hoping 2020 is a more auspicious year πŸ™‚
