Yes they are beautiful Jo – have looked up about them again in the guidebook I bought at the Piona shop. The frescoes date back to the 15h and 16th century although only fragments now remain as you can see!

Yes they certainly are Jo – not sure where they originally came from but they are one of the abbey’s treasures!
