Last week we had a lovely lunch overlooking Lake Como in Varenna Jewel By The Lake Part 1 (see here). Part 2 will be delayed by one week because of a few family crises that have occurred this week. All nearly well now, so here is a taster photo.

Thanks Joy – we really loved Varenna as you can see!! Yes all seems to have settled down and she is much better again so hopefully she has got over that nasty flu and wheeze. The weather is spring like today, which always lifts the spirits 🙂 Hope you’re having a lovely week too! 🙂

Thanks Ken – yes our younger granddaughter was ill last week and ended up in hospital for 3 nights with what the doctors say was a viral induced wheeze. It was all rather stressful at the time but thankfully she seems to have bounced back as little ones do – leaving the grown ups in her wake! We are hoping the flu season will soon come to an end – Perth has been really cold this winter by our standards. We have used up so much wood for our wood burner – so glad we put one in a couple of years back as it warms the house better than anything else! Hope all’s well with you! 🙂

Thanks Jo yes just about back on track now 🙂 Little one is racing around as kids too – Grandmum LC had a milder version of what she had over the weekend but the sunshine today is just the ticket. We had such a wild and wet weekend! A mountain of washing, paperwork etc to get through but can’t neglect the blog. I’ll be over your way very soon to read up on this week’s walk and hope all’s well with you too! 🙂

Yes that’s what Monsieur and I think – he’s still getting over a horrible flu that he went down with at least 2 weeks ago but soldiering on. Just seems to take it out of us a bit more these days and we look after ourselves well! I’ll just go and check on my washing progress and pay the lawn mowing guy who has just turned up then I’ll be back! 🙂
