Packing!
This is the current state of my bedroom and packing zone! We are leaving today for a 4 week trip to Europe – 2 and a half weeks in the UK and 9 nights in Munich, from where we will tour Bavaria. I need to start putting some of my own packing and travelling advice into practice fast! See here, here and here for my pearls of wisdom. I now need to reread my own posts on how to manage luggage, long haul flight essentials and making outfits go further with accessories!
Since I’ll be busy on the road and with family commitments, I will not have too much time to update the blog, so please forgive me if I am less responsive than usual. I will try to upload the occasional quick travel postcard. I will have my iPad with me, but remain something of a technological dinosaur so may find the challenge too great!
I do have a Facebook page for Le Chic En Rose (see the side bar) and if you click on the link here you are more likely to see a story (you don’t have to be a Facebook member) as I will probably be able to update Facebook easier.
The full blog will return after Anzac Day at the end of April. In the meantime, I will stay in touch as best I can and excuse the somewhat ad hoc nature of the blog whilst I’m “en the road”. On the plus side, I will be gathering lots of photos and information for more posts to blog about on our return!

Safe and happy travels Rosemary – sounds like an amazing trip, hope you have a fabulous time. I think everything looks remarkably well organised in the picture – considering you’re away for 4 weeks – very impressive!! Our house will look even worse than that tomorrow – we’re only going to Spain for a week but chaos will break out in the packing process!! Looking forward to reading about your adventures when you get back – weather is cold in the UK but nice and sunny, hopefully the climate shock will not be too bad!

Thanks Joy – managed to get all the packing done in the end but had to do another edit after the picture was taken. I got it down to 21.6 kg at check in not too bad for 4 weeks away. Good thing I packed quite a lot of warm stuff it feels very chilly to me after coming from Perth! Hope you got everything organised for your trip too and have a lovely time in Spain this week – look forward to reading about your Spanish travels soon too 😃

Thanks Joy I never used to travel that light!!! Have worked out that I’m sleeping in 6 different places plus a day’s travel either end to and from Australia so it gets too hard to lug too much around! Lots of scarves, accessories and I’ll be living in black leggings and jeggings!! Have a wonderful trip to Spain too 😃

Also sounds like you have 1 case between all of you Joy so that’s not bad at all. We have 2 and Monsieur Le Chic’s weighed 18 kg!

Wish you a great trip Rosemary! No problem that you will not be so available and upload your blog too much the next weeks. I believe when you are on a holiday you should really enjoy the moment and spend it with you family. Not use that time on your lap-top..
But I am looking forward to see some postcards, and read about your trip when you are back home again.
